Faster Boot-up times & app load times. My lappy with even an inferior Kingston V100 128GB Boots into Windows 8 in approximate 10 secs. And the OS itself feels a lot faster.
Yes that is correct.I get better benchmark scores in Win 8 than 7.
You can try it guys.If you don't like it then you can always go back to Win 7 but the new OS is good.

I have 8 on my SSD now. Boots slower than 7 actually.
I haven't been able to compare benches yet but they should be rather similar actually. My last batch of benches actually marked 8 as slightly slower than 7 by about 1-2FPS so like I said similar.Univac

Well you don't need an account with them to download the benchie.I did not have earlier. But after trying several times to get the download started i found this way to get the thing done.PP , no the Hotlink is not bad but they have disabled direct clicking on the download link.
Just try this :-
1) Do not left Click on the download link.Instead right click & copy the link.
2) Then open a new tab & paste the download link & press enter. You will get the download started.
Weird is not it ?Last edited by sushrukh; 01-01-2013 at 05:02 AM.

Windows 8 Metro interface had been designed thinking Touch screens in mind.I don't have a Touch screen. So, i have replaced the Metro interface with the Start ORB like we used to see in other Windows versions.
Yes it is pretty damn good.Just try once.I don't think you will be regretting.
