Oh btw, I should also mention that when a tree took out our cable line, they didn't even replace it or run it somewhere SAFER a few years back.
They simply stretched it to the MAX, like literitally just bearly made it at all when it woulda been faster and simpler to just replace the cord.

Well its MAINLY telemarketers, but still have family calling ect.
It matters if we make the move to just remove my personal Magic Jack, to my Home phone and redo the number for it.And then get rid of the phone ect.
Like I said its not up to me, I only chip in, I dont pay the majority of everything. It matters when we punch our tv and monitors that we will just be done with TWC.
So instead of homephone our homephone will work off the magic jack instead and turn the magicjack back to my home number.
Its just a way for everyone to still be able to contact someone here for our homephone.
But yeah... When we call TWC sometime hopefully, I will be arguing with them and request a pretty penny since we are paying Full price, not the yearly stuff, since our 1year things been over since the first year they took over Adelphia haha.

I suppose, but I havn't used a home phone since 2004. That is when my relatively poor family got rid of it and I have been straight cell since. Even my 80+ year old grandparents have a cell and broadband lol. Like I mentioned before, my best friend has one with his FiOS package but only because he had to get a certain one so he could use his discount. The stuff he has going on is just crazy though. Idk, I just prefer to download HD shows instead of paying for HD local channels and only pay for internet.

I agree. I would like to throw in a "strange and dying breed" lol.
I've heard nothing but bad things about Magic Jack. I guess it works well for you? I also only carry a cell and actually talk very little on the phone. I'm on a family plan with 3 other people with 700 mins shared and we only go through maybe 100 of it each month hahaha. My primary form of communication is via text.
As for the modem, I also have TWC but I haven't had too much of an issue. I've been meaning to buy my own but haven't done much research plus the one that TWC provided is actually working ok. I also want to switch to FIOs but it seems like too much of a hassle, plus we're on a super cheap tv cable plan that doesn't exist anymore so we're afraid if we do anything different to our account, they might notice and remove that hahaha

lol good ole TWC, i cant stand them but they are the only thing i can get where i live seeing as i'm between big cities in the stick, Its either TWC or DSL and the DSL out here is horrible and run about the same per month. I did get a call from TWC the other day to upgrade from reg internet to turbo, mind you i should already be on turbo cause i called and had them upgrade it 3 months ago. Apprently it needs a new modem according to the person i talked to, so i got basic cable with RR turbo for 54.99 a month which is $8 cheaper then just reg internet. I have no understanding of how something so basic is so damn expensive lol

Probably because they have us by the balls (or chesticles in my case) in terms of choices of what we can choose: dsl, cable or fios.
Did anyone hear about google's 1GB down that was tested in Kansas City and was successful??? I also heard they're going to be providing free internet up to 5mps down. I canNOT wait for them to be an ISP out here in CA.

Charter is cheaper and better than TW but here in DFW you have to be in certain areas to get certain service. For FiOS you have to live in Dallas county and there is no way I'm going to live in Dallas county.
