I need some upgrade advice
I built a PC gaming rig about 3 years ago and I'm thinking it might be time for me to upgrade my components. My question is simply, in what order of importance should I replace my individual components and what should I get? I don't need absolutely state of the art components. Just looking for the maximum performance gains for a reasonable price. For the record I primarily play FPS's. It doesn't need to be a bargain basement system either. Here are my components:
Motherboard: Asus motherboard (P60 I think??? lga 1366)
i7 2.66 cpu
6gb ddr3 ram (1600)
2x pny 470's in sli
500gb hdd
64gb ssd
ocz 1000w non-modular power supply
I do most of my shopping (or did) on newegg.com and tigerdirect.com. Are these still the places to go?
Thanks!

Yes to Newegg.
Your rig is still decent for practically all FPS besides maybe Crysis 3. IF I had your rig and I wanted to upgrade I would get a new GPU then a bigger SSD. Bout it honestly.Turd

I agree with PP.
Check with Amazon as well for your stuff. The EVGA GeForce GTX670 FTW I have in my signature replaced two 470’s in SLI. I can’t tell a difference except with power usage and heat.BBQASUS P8Z68-V PRO; i7 2600k @ 4.1GHz; Kingston HyperX 16 GB @ 1866; Mushkin Enhanced Callisto Deluxe 90GB SSD with Win7 Home Premium 64bit; OCZ Vertex 2 SATA II 2.5" SSD 60GB - Programs; 2 WD 2 TB Caviar Green RAID1; WD 2 TB Cavier Green in external USB3 case;EVGA FTW 670 GTX; Acer 22 inch Widescreen; PSU: Ultra 4x 1050

Like everybody else has said here, go with a new video card and SSD. Everything else is still pretty decent. The next thing to upgrade would probably be motherboard and CPU. There is no reason to get new RAM if your RAM is at least 1333.
