I'll post a pic of my Dell 2405FP in just a bit.
I'm trying to figure out the differences between the 2405 and the 2407 other than the stand.

Well... I have a 17" WUXGA+ UltraSharp Widescreen laptop if that counts? I just wish I could use in place of my 17" square CRT desktop monitor!!

I don't own one and IMHO i don't want one. I don't think computers are made to be used with a widescreen, widescreens are for watching television/movies and that's not exactly what I do with my rig. Must say i've never used one though, maybe I'd change my mind if i did, but as for now I see no reason to put the money down for one. Just my 2 cents.

Gibson,
Try gaming on one and you'll change your mind. It's pretty amazing.

Yes!! I know I said this before, but playing CounterStrike at 1920by1200 resolution is simply a completely different game... It will turn any gun into a sniping weapon, and made aiming at people's heads pretty easy... not even counting that sneaking up on someone with such a wide vision arc is pretty hard

At 1280by720 ya tend to lose a good bit of the widescreen effect compared to the larger widescreen modes...

Hopefully not speaking to soon.
Well the monitor showed up. It has a scuff in the top and bottom of the bezel in the middle. So I contacted Dell and they told me they are shipping me a new monitor and to go ahead and use this one until the new one shows up.
Man it looks nice hooked up here at work. Taking it home in a couple of hours and firing up some gaming. Pretty cool to have Bjor3d.com and MSN screens both up and not having to side scroll to read them.Viper: Intel I7 3960X | TT Extreme Water 2.0 Cooler | Asus Sabertooth X79| NVIDIA GTX680| 32GB GSkill RAM | 512GB Crucial M4 SSD | 2TB Seagate | Asus DVD-RW | TT 1200Watt Power Supply | Dell 2707 Monitor | Logitech Z5500 Digital Speaker | Logitch G15 Gaming Keyboard | Logtiech MX Wireless Mouse | Windows 7 64 Ultimate |
