Ok, not really, at least not directly .

But a 20 year old by the name of Chris Staniforth in In the UK, died of a blood clot formed as the result of a marathon  gaming session. Chris, an otherwise healthy young man, had apparently been sitting for 12 or so hours playing his Xbox 360. He never even knew what got him.

Deep vein thrombosis is what they are calling it. A pulmonary embolism can be cause by sitting on one position for too long. a clot forms in the leg, detaches and is carried to the lungs by the bloodstream. This is was more common among long haul air passengers, but can strike anyone who doesn't change position at least once in a while. Like those of us sitting in front of our gaming screens.
