SAPPHIRE adds 2GB model to HD 7790 series

AMD’s HD 7790 bridges the gap between the HD 7700 and the HD 7800. While the card’s performance is decent for a budget card, one of its limitation maybe the 1GB memory that may potentially cause issue especially if you are considering to setup a multiple monitors. Luckily Sapphire has released the 2GB version of the card aimed at those who need the extra gig of memory. Not only the card comes with 2GB of GDDR5, it also is factory overclocked with the core clockspeed of 1050 MHz and memory speed of 1600 MHz. The card also comes with Sapphire’s custom cooler with a dual heatpipe system and single aerofoil section fan assembly with dust repelling bearing. According to the PR, the cooler is able to reduce the memory and the PCB temperature to as low as 13C, pretty impressive. The card also comes with two DVI ports, an HDMI, and a single DisplayPort for up to four monitors support. To top it off, Sapphire also includes a free copy of BioShock Infinite when you purchase it from the participated retailer.

Noctua introduces NH-U12S and NH-U14S single tower CPU coolers

Noctua continues to deliver excellent performance and craftsmanship with their cooler. Their latest NH-U12S and the NH-U14S are designed with large, siz heatpipe design equipped with the NF-A15 fan. While the NH-U12S will have 120mm fan and the NH-U14S will have 140mm fan The NH-A15 is Noctua’s own design fan that features PWM for fan speed control. Furthermore, the maximum speed on the fan can also be reduced to 1200 RPM from 1500 RPM for ultra quiet operation. Both coolers are single tower design with slim layout of merely 45mm (for the NH-U12S) and 52mm (for the NH-U14S) to provide maximum RAM compatibility. It is even possible to install two fans on these coolers without the fan overhang the RAM modules.

The coolers are compatible with a range of CPUs that includes both Intel Socket LGA2011, LGA 1156, LGA 1155, LGA1150, and AMD Socket AM2, AM2+, AM3, AM3+, FM1, and FM2. The NH-U12S and the NH-U14S will be available shortly at retail price of 64.90 and 74.90, respectively.
