Nvidia presents the Tegra K1 with 192 cores and Kepler architecture

Last year at CES Nvidia presented both the Tegra 4 SoC as well as the Nvidia Shield handheld console. This year Nvidia again presented a new iteration of their Tegra-SoC (System on a Chip): the Tegra K1. The big news in the Tegras K1 is not that it is faster than the Tegra 4, it would have been odd if it wasn’t. It is the fact that it uses the Kepler architecture for the GPU-part meaning that Nvidia is slowly merging the architecture of both its mobile and desktop products making it easier for people to develop for it.  So, what can we expect here? The GPU-part now comes with 192 cores and has support for OpenGL 4.4 and even the Unreal 4 engine. Sony CES press conference will be Live streamed January 6th, 5 PST

It is again time for CES and even though we are not on site this year we will of course try to bring you as much news as possible. The conference actually will not start until the 7th but that does not stop Sony and others to start early. Sony will have its press conference on the 6th of January at 5 pm PST. The whole press conference will be live streamed so that you can see all news right away. Thecus is showing off their latest products at Computex 2012 that includes the TopTower Series, Microsoft Windows Storage Servers W Series, V Sereis, Vision Series, and NVR Visoguard. The company will also shows the ThecusOS 5.0 that brings system monitoring with live feedback on error, maintenance issue and activity.
