INTRODUCTION
It's been a long time coming but Razer finally brought the Megalodon to market and we're here to find out if it was worth the wait. We've waited for about 9 months to get hands on the latest Razer Gaming headset. We reviewed the Moray Earbuds and Barracuda Headset and now it's time for the big dog Megalodon.
Featuring 20 to 20,000Hz frequency response and the 40mm Neodymium drivers combined with 2.0, 5.1 and 7.1 sound capabilities. The Megalodon has a Malestrom sound engine that is capable of visualizing to 7.1 Dolby at the push of a button. It also lets you individually set the sound on any of the 7.1 speakers. Tired of opponents sneaking up on you, the Medladon can be set for louder rear speaker volume and make those sneaky buggers sound like elephants trying to put the sneak and creep on you.
Lets venture into the RazerZone and see if the Megalodon meets our high expectations for it.

It's been a long time since we have trusted anyone but Razer with our high end gaming needs, since we first heard the Barracuda and Moray gaming audio from Razer we've been Razer fans. From the Destructor Gaming Mouse Pad to the Lachesis Mouse and Lycosa keyboard sitting at our gaming shrine it's almost a clean sweep for Razer products for our gaming sessions. The acquisition of the Megalodon completes that set and with the Megalodons 7.1 sound capabilities we expect to give a genuine dirt nap to some sneaky enemy AI coming in on us from the sides and back. We're sure Razer will be coming with new and exciting Gaming products, but right now we're content with the Razer's edge that just got sharper with the Megalodon.
