Björn's 3D World was started in the end of 1996 when Björn Tidal (now Björn Endre) bought his first 3D card - a Creative 3D Blaster PCI - powered by a Rendition V1000 chip. He got instantly hooked on 3D graphics and realized that there weren't many Rendition fan-sites around.
Since then the whole 3D industry has moved forward in giant leaps. In the middle of 1999 he and his friend Scott Sherman decided to switch focus from Rendition to NVIDIA, a company that had proven to deliver new products in a steady stream. In 2003 Björn and Scott decided to cover not only NVIDIA but also ATI and other companies products and have since made Bjorn3D a site where you will find news and reviews not only from graphics cards but from all kind of computer hardware and software.
During all these years Bjorn 3D has managed to build up a good relationship with many hardware and software companies and the site has earned the respect among both normal users and people in the 3D industry.
The aim with the web-site is to continue to give you interesting computer news as well as bringing you articles, reviews and previews.
Scott, Björn and their highly capable staff continuously strive to bring the best in hands on reviews and previews to our readers.

Scott
Björn Endre
Founder and Webmaster. I started the site way back in 1996 when Rendition and 3dfx released their first 3d-accelerators. Since then I've run the site, the last few years together with Scott. In 2008 I've stepped down to let more motivated people take care of the site while I concentrate on administration of the webserver, doing web development as well as very occasionally doing a review or two.
Mark Taliaferro
Editor/Review Manager. Twenty odd years ago I became fascinated with computers starting out with a stint in Missouri Southern State University where I graduated as a Programmer Systems Analyst and was employed as the Campus Computer Tech. for Five years.
My first electrical love was an 8 Mhz 8088 dual 5 1/4 inch floppy with a monochrome monitor. Quickly upgraded to a CGA 3 color monitor and Over Clocked it to a whopping 12Mhz which didn't officially appear until they came out with the 286 model. It's been one continual upgrade for the last 20+ years and I still love hardware.
Currently I own the Lions share of a computer shop, but I let my partner take care of it on a day to day basis only helping out when there's a problem they can't handle. I prefer to do on site service and sell a few machines from home and play with hardware.
Make no mistake, I'm a hard core hardware junkie that has never managed to march to the beat of the corporate drum. Which forced me to find an alternative life style allowing me to tinker with hardware and spend time with my family.
The best day of my professional life? When I realized I'd make a heck of a nice boss.
Peter Kapas
Graphics Engineer, Reviewer. Peter Kapas was born into a Hungarian family in Kosice. At the age of 3, he was already fascinated by the family's old ATARI 800XL. When he was only 6 years old, his father left for America. Consequently, Peter was forced to learn how to work with computers. He experienced many computer problems because of his inept experimentations, but he learned from his mistakes. His curiosity cost him when he learned the hard way what formatting did to a hard drive. After a few years, Peter's mother followed his father, with Peter and his two sisters in tow. At the age of 13, he decided to build his own computer based on his liking and knowledge of computers. To this day, Peter keeps reviewing and revising his hardware, keeping up to date on the latest innovations and technological breakthroughs. He does not, however restrict himself solely to computer hardware. He also likes to work with his friends on small budget films, 3D animations, and special effects. Now Peter is pursuing a Computer Science major at California State University Channel Islands, as he continues to cultivate his passion for filmmaking and computer hardware.

Chuck Swafford
Reviewer. Somewhere between puberty and adolescence, the AARP came knocking on Chuck's door, reminding him to pay his dues or forever remain null and void of any senior discounts. He has a fondness for Yes, Frank Zappa, and The Roches, and he has been employed professionally in the IT field since late in the last century. Although many from local, state, and federal agencies have sought his whereabouts to discuss his various assundry activities, he has be able to maintain a low profile whilst pursuing his passions - PC gaming and retail therapy, the two not being entirely unrelated. "If it weren't for bad timing, I would have been one of the founding fathers and I would have invented the Internet and the sandwich," he says. He's still confident though that he still has the time to improve upon Einstein's general theory of relativity between sleeping and foraging for food.
Victor Wu
News Editor, Reviewer. I am currently studying biochemistry and doing research in molecular biology. I never got into computers until I built my first system around 2000. Ever since then, I am hooked, just can't get enough of it and I am still learning about it every single day. I love to play the RPG type of games when I got time from studying, working, posting on the sites, and browsing webs.
Ryan Kerschner
Reviewer. Ryan Kerschner is an IT manager in Wichita, KS. He enjoys computer gaming just as much as the next computer geek, and loves gadgets of all kinds. When not working or playing, Ryan likes tinkering with his ever-expanding home network and spending time with his wife and their cats.

Reviewer. My first experience with computers happened in the early 90's, when my parents bought a Intel 386 from my uncle after his work upgraded their computer systems. It had just enough juice to run Windows 95 and Monopoly. Soon after that I upgraded to a AMD K6-2, and it has been all down hill from there. From playing the latest shooter to drawing on Solidworks, nothing puts a bigger smile on my face than having the biggest and baddest equipment.
John Armstrong
Reviewer. My first recollection of computers was back in 1992 when my dad bought a used Leading Edge Model D i386 computer. I recall navigating through MS-DOS playing Battle Chess and whatever else looked fun to play. Fast forward to 1998 and my real love for computers bloomed. I built up my first computer at the age of 14, a AMD K6-II 400, EPoX motherboard, 32MB SD-RAM, Creative Labs Riva TNT, 15” AOC CRT monitor, and a 6.4GB Quantum Fireball hard drive. Ever since that first build experience, I found a love for computers and I knew exactly what I wanted to be when I grew up, a computer dude. After graduating high school I went directly to ITT Technical Institute in Tucson, AZ and received an associate degree in Computer Networking Systems. After graduation I got an internship at University Medical Center hospital in Tucson, AZ where I still work to this very day. Computers are a very important part of my life, the same way a project car is an important part of a mechanics life. I’m always tinkering.
Richard Bradford
Reviewer. Richard has been involved in the health care industry for over 20 years. He's a graduate of St. Louis University where he studied computer science and fine art. Richard's first PC was a Texas Instruments Ti-99/4A back in the early 1980s and he's been hooked on computers ever since. His passions include electronic gadgets of all types, building computer systems and playing PC games (especially shooters).

Steve Peters
Reviewer. Steve is what most people call a 'tech junkie'. He is into all the latest and greatest technology gizmos and gadgets and his wife is constantly frustrated with not only his new purchases, but his constant tinkering with everything in the house that plugs into the wall. During the day he is mostly an IT student, occasionally driving a service truck.
