Support for Stephanie

I am still in some shock, but my 13 year old daughter Stephanie has Cancer.  We are waiting for the results of what type.  3 weeks ago she was running around playing with her 10 year old brother.  Now it hurts to even walk.  I can use all the prayers for her we can get.

Update September 1 2009

Well she has started radiation treatments. Today is round 2 of 28 she must have. So far she feels ok and the last PET scan looked real good for her. Keep praying that we get this think beat please. The doctors do not want to take out her port for a year after her radaiton is done. They are afraid as bad as she had cancer it could come back.

Update May 13 2009

Well she has finished her 5th round of chemo, 3 more to go before her next check to see if it is working.  If not radiation will have to happen.  She was in the hospital a week with shingles caused by the cancer.  She is being kept overnight when she should of came home because her lungs are full of fluid.  They are doing test on her today to see what’s up with that.  Hopefully she can come home today.

Update April 11 2009

Well sorry it has been so long getting an update to all.  We have been very busy with Stephanie plus we do have two other children Jackie, and Zac to take care of.  Well the doctor has told us she wants to do at least 4 more rounds of chemo if the test Stephanie takes next Thursday April 16th comes out good.  So that is like the best case thing, well Stephanie has only had 4 rounds of chemo and the toll has been heavy on her and us.  I do not know what we will do if the test come back that we are not beating the cancer.  Radiation and surgery have been mentioned, I really hope we are winning the battle and do not have to do that.

Well that is the latest update.

Scott

Update 2009-02-08
Well the bad stuff is starting to happen now.  She is getting alot of sores in her mouth and throat.  We knew this would happen do to the meds and Chemo.  She is also crying today because her hair has started coming out pretty heavily.

Please keep praying for my baby girl.

Update 2009-02-27
Well Stephanie is home from her second full run of Chemo.  She had to have a blood transfusion before she could have the Chemo since her blood cell counts where very low.  But she is still in good spirits thru all this, my baby is one tough cookie.

Update 2009-02-20
We Stephanie is now getting her big second round of Chemo.  Depending on how see does on this round we will know if she needs to get a blood transfusion for her treatment next Thursday.  She wants to say thank you to all of you that have sent her cards, shirts, hats and have donated for her.

Update 2009-02-01
Stephanie is back home from her first round of Chemo treatments.  She seems to be in really good spirits but she does tire easily.  The fever that she has had at night has dropped back to normal ranges.  This is a good sign, she was having a 100-102 fever every night before the Chemo.  She can have visitors but they have warned us that with upcoming treatments they will have to wear mask since her immune systems will get real low do to the treatment.  And of coarse she will lose her hair soon.  We did get her 3 different wigs one being a Hanna Montanna type.

Update 2009-01-29
The doctors have now diagnosed her and she has Hodgkins Stage 4B cancer. Please keep praying for her that she can fight it and overcome it. .

If any of you want to send her cards they can be sent to:
