G.SKILL Hosts Official OC World Record Stage at Computex 2013

 

This year’s Computex is going to be very exciting as G.Skill is going to be hosting an official OC World Record during the show. G.Skill has partnered with Intel, Asus, EVGA, Gigabyte, MSI to host an international overcloking battle battle. Skilled overclockers such as Elmor, Fredyama, Kingpin, and Hiwa are coming from all around the world will compete for the title of the best overclockers.

Overclockers will be using the latest Intel Core processor with Z87 motherboards and G.Skill’s extreme performance DDR3 memory. Expect new world-record to be set at the event. The event will be held at Computex Taipei exhibition hall during June 4th and 7th and will also be live streammed at G.Skill website and HWbot.org

OCZ Launches the Next Generation Vertex 450 Series Solid State Drives

OCZ brings 20nm process NAND to the Vertex series with the release of the Vertex 450. The Vertex 450 paired the 20nm NAND with Indilinx Barefoot 3 M10 Series controller. The drive has a rated 540 MB/s read, 530 MB/s write, and 4K random write of up to 90,000 IOPS. Think the Vertex 450 is the Vertex 4 with a shrinked NAND and we got the Vertex 450. However, OCZ has tweaked the new controller to add support for AES-256 encryption and power-optimized clock. The Vertex 450 will be available in storage from 128GB to 512GB and will carry 3 year warranty.

MSI Unveils World’s First AMD Richland A10 Powered Mobile Gaming Powerhouse​s

AMD Richland APU based notebooks are slowly appearing on the market and today MSI has launched two new and refreshed GX70 and GX60 based on the Richland A10-5750M. The gaming notebooks comes with stnadrd 750GB hard drive, 8GB of DDR3-1600, Bluray reader, Killer E2200 Networking card, SDXC card reader, THX speaker, and 9 cell battery. The larger of the two, the GX70, will come with AMD Radeon HD 8970M graphics to power the 17.3 display at resolution of 1920×1080. The GX60 will have AMD Radeon HD 7970M for 15.6” display at the same 1080p resolution. The GX70 will be retailed with MSRP of $1399.99 and the GX60 will be retailed for $1299.99.
