Introduction Gigabyte’s G1.Sniper has a long history of targeting toward gamers. The board is designed with features that gamers seek the most: better audio quality, better network performance, and better cooling for overclocking, Dating back to the first G1.Sniper, Gigabyte has released various models of the G1.Sniper series: 3, 5, and M5. What they all have in common is that they are all for Intel processors. The G1.Sniper A88X marks the first motherboard from Gigabyte that carries the G1.Sniper moniker for AMD APU. With Kaveri, AMD not only brings performance enhancement but also PCI Express 3.0 support along with other technologies such as TrueAudio, HSA, and hQ. GIGABYTE announces 7 FM2+ Motherboards for the Upcoming Kaveri

While AMD has yet officially announced the release date for the Kaveri, the successor to the Richland/Trinity APU, we are expecting it to arrive before the year ends. The motherboard vendors, like GIGABYTE, are gearing up for the upcoming APU and have announced list of boards supporting the forthcoming Kaveri. According to the press release, the upcoming Keveri will use the new FM2+ socket that will also be compatible with current FM2 socket Trinity and Richland APU. As far as we know, current generation FM2 socket will not be forward compatible with the upcoming FM2+ APU. However, for the Gigabyte GA-F2A85XN-WIFI, Gigabyte has done a very good job at offering what users need the most. The F2A85XN-WIFI does not come with a lot of the bells and whistles that we find on gaming boards or extreme overclocking boards. However, Gigabyte is able to pack in quite a lot of extra features, including DualBIOS, a WiFi card, Bluetooth, and plenty of USB and SATA ports on such a tiny board.   The F2A85XN-WIFI comes in the typical cardboard box. AMD Richland A10-6800K AND A10-6700 Review

Not letting Intel grab all of the spotlight, AMD has officially released the desktop version of the upgraded Trinity APU codenamed Richland. While Richland does not bring any architectural change over the Trinity, AMD is able to deliver a decent amount of performance improvements by tuning the existing chip.
