ZBOX Sphere OI520 Plus

featured_image

There was a time when a computer in most cases consisted of a big beige box that you certainly did not want to show off or which took up a lot of space on your desk. Those days are gone and today we have a lot more variety both how computer looks and how big they are. Zotac is a company that for quite some time have been pumping out smaller mini-PC’s under their ZBox brand and today we are taking a look at their new round ZBox Sphere OI520. FEATURES AND SPECIFICATIONS As expected from the look of the Sphere OI520 this is not a gaming computer, instead it is a small mini-PC with surprisingly good components that should be powerful enough for a lot of users. The Sphere OI520 is not a complete computer which you can turn on and start using. There are two versions of the ... Read More »

Zotax Zbox Nano AQ01 Plus

zbox_featured

While Zotac maybe is most knows for their graphics cards they also are specialized on small motherboards and small desktop systems. Today we are reviewing one of those tiny small desktop PC’s: the Zotax Zbox Nano AQ01 Plus. This is a very small PC that even comes with a VESA-mount so it can be attached to a TV ore monitor and be out of sight. It has a Quad-core AMD “Kabini” APU, the A4-5000 while a Radeon HD 8330 provides us with the graphics muscles. This is not a gaming machine, even though the GPU should benefit from the Mantle API, but promises to work well as either a media PC, a kitchen PC or even a bedroom PC. Does it have what it takes to compete with tables and other tiny PC’s? Continue to read to find out. THE FEATURES AND SPECIFICATIONS As we mentioned in the introduction this ... Read More »

Zotac reveals the GeForce GTX 780 Ti AMP! Edition

ZT-70503-10P_image2

While the GeForce GTX 780 Ti is a blazing fast card there of course always is room for more speed. This is something Zotac can deliver with their latest AMP!-card; the GeForce GTX 780 Ti AMP! Edition. The AMP-Edition cards, some that we have reviewed earlier (Zotac GTX Titan AMP Edition, Zotac GeForce GTX760 AMP! Edition) are overclocked from the start meaning more speed without risking loosing the warranty or getting an unstable card. The GeForce GTX 780 Ti AMP! Edition is overclocked from the stock 875/928 Mhz (base/boost) to 1006/1072 MHz for the GPU core and the memory is overclocked to 7200 MHz from the stock 7000 MHz. The recommended price for the card is 6399 SEK (Sweden) and £575. We currently have this beast in our lab and am busy reviewing it so stay tuned for some more info soon on how it performs. Until then you have to make ... Read More »

Zotac announces the Zotac Tegra Note 7 tablet

ZOTAC_TEGRA_NOTE_image1

A few weeks ago Nvidia presented their new reference plattform for smaller tablets using the Tegra 4 SoC. While Nvidia had lots of design wins with the Tegra 3 it has been a bit harder for them to replicate the success with the Tegra 4 and thus it seems they felt the need to “help” OEM’s with a reference tablet. Not surprisingly one of Nvidia’s partners in the PC-space, Zotac, has decided to pick this design up and are now announcing the Zotac Tegra Note 7 tablet. Zotac GeForce GTX 780

Hot on the heels of the GTX Titan comes the new GTX780 that uses the same type of GPU as we see in the GTX Titan.
