New iMac and MacBook

Apple has unveiled the new iMac with 21.5 and 27 in widescreen display. The new iMac line, starting at $1,199 will feature Core 2 Duo processor at clockspeed of 3.06GHz, 4GB of 1066MHz DDR3 RAM, NVIDIA GeForce 9400M, and 500GB. The 21.5-in will feature display with maximum resolution of 1920x1080 while the 27in will have the max resolution of 2560x1440. Both displays will use IPS technology for better color quality.

The most expensive of the line up, 27-in iMac at $1,999 will feature the latest Core i5 processor clocked at 2.66GHz with 4GB of DDR3 RAM, ATI Radeon HD 4850, and 1TB storage space.

All iMacs will have LED display, wireless keyboard, new wireless mouse, iSight camera, mic, stereo speaker, 802.11n Wi-Fi networking, Bluetooth 2.1+EDR, and Gigabit ethernet. For peripheral connectors, they come with four USB port, one FireWire 800 port, and SD card slot.

Apple also updates the MacBook. The new MacBook will also feature unibody design with just 1.08 inch thick and 4.7 pounds. Contrast to the more expensive MacBook Pros, the MacBooks are build with polycarbonate rather than the aluminum. It is still has a 13in LED-backlit display, multi-touch trackpad, and GeForce 9400M chipset. Apple also reports that the new system yields 7 hours of battery life. The MacBook will be selling at starting price of $999.00.
