Mobile storage is getting smaller and yet the capacity is getting bigger and bigger. Toshiba has announced a new line of 1.8 inch HDD with maximum storage capacity of 320GB. This is the highest that is yet announced for the 1.8'' form factor. The new series will also come in 160GB and 250GB capacities. All of the drives will feature perpendicular magnet recording head and the disk's magnetic layer secure an areal density of 801Mbit/mm2 . It will come with SATA interface, 5,400 RPM rotational speed and 16MB buffer cache.
